Our Fall Bash will be this Saturday, Oct. 22, from 12 – 3 pm in St. Elmo Park. Enjoy some fall recreation and meet the team! We will have a cakewalk, sack hopping race, giant Jenga, a fall photo op, and a hike up Lookout Mountain starting around 2:30 pm.
The newly renovated St. Elmo Park is located at 4909 St. Elmo Avenue. Feel free to bring your leashed four-legged friends. This is a family-friendly event and we would love to have you and your family join us.
MORE ABOUT THE HIKE...
Crisler Torrence will be leading the hike up the Glenn Falls Trail which will depart around 2:30 P.M. Bring your hiking shoes, snacks, water will be provided, and your leashed four-legged friends are also welcome. This hike is of moderate difficulty and will last ~1.5 hours and will cover over 3 miles round-trip. The path will lead halfway up Lookout Mountain with a little incline at the beginning, which levels off and becomes quite enjoyable. There is another incline about halfway up the trail and then the trail opens up and is easier all the way to the falls. Once the group makes it to the falls, then there is a neat ‘fat man’s squeeze’ between some rocks and a great smooth stone area to hang out and eat snacks before the return.
